June in the Peace

I was up in the Peace again recently, and got to take some photos of the spring flowers. So awesome :)
 Blue-eyed grass. So beautiful!

I seem to be unable to resist the urge to take photos of dandelion seed heads. They're so cool looking.

 An anenome of some sort

 Cloudberry (i think?).
Laborador tea! This is probably one of my favourites, mostly because you can make tea from it.

Bog bean? I've never heard of it before, but the flowers as you can see, were quite gorgeous!

We got to head into the mountains a bit more, and we found these. They're from the Saxifragae family.

Columbine! This was everywhere. It's so pretty.

I didn't bring my Nikon on this trip, because it was just a bit too heavy. Ahh well!

Afternoon at UBC

I managed to take a day off of work at the end of May so that I could watch R graduate (Congrats, sunshine!). While the graduate was lovely .. I definitely enjoying spending an afternoon in the sun, taking photos of him with his family and of course.. the flowers.

I think these are a form of columbine, although I could be wrong..

I think this is Allium giganteum but I'm not sure. Either way, a very striking flower!

Black Lotus trees. While these aren't native they are absolutely gorgeous when they're dripping in so many yellow flowers!
Not overly exiting as far as posts go, but.. I don't like posting too many photos of us, and I apparently haven't uploaded photos from our most recent adventure. I'm sure I have some more iPhone photos, but.. I do actually take photos with a real camera too!
